The Artist, 1902, vol 33, p.24, illustrates a similar dragonfly buckle. The Artist published its first edition in 1898. (A British journal that spun off this one dates back to 1880, so the volume numbering for the American edition starts at 23.) The Artist ceased publication in 1902.
