An exceptional Grand Tour antique necklace composed of 9 oval Roman style micro-mosaics, depicting Doves in the manner of the famous mosaics discovered in the Emperor Hadrian's villa at Tivoli & described by Plinny in the 1st Century AD.
Mounted in gold set with large natural seed pearls of 2.8 mm approx.
