Showing the influence of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. See 'Fair Rozamund' by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Gere & Munn, Pre-Raphaelite to Arts & Crafts Jewellery, 1989, p.118.
The freshness of this piece comes across extremely well showing a progression from the more usual Renaissance Revival forms to a lighter & more artistic jewel.
The polychrome bas relief is a fine example of Goldsmith repoussé.
