A stunning Victorian gold & lapis lazuli hinged bangle beautifully made & attributed to John Brogden. The design has stylized hinges with locking post clasp, applied scrolled wirework and bead detail. Applied lettering to the band, the classical phrase reading 'SALVE AEI' (Welcome Always) the Greek letters alpha and omega (""the beginning and the end"") on either side of the lapis orbs.
