Arts & Crafts Double Circle Brooch with fabulous colouring of natural rubies & sapphires.
The two cabochon genuine laboratory rubies have the same chemical composition, crystal structure, optical & physical properties as mined rubies & have the same Mohs hardness of 9. They were first made in Switzerland in 1880 & would have cost the same as natural rubies. They were chosen for their purity & colour.
